I am a California girl at heart who is lucky enough to live in one of the most wonderful, un-California cities in the world, New York. Most days, you'll find me exploring my new home with my amazing husband and our dog, Friday. I love to travel, eat just about anything with peanut butter, meet new friends, shop, read, take pictures, and spoil other peoples' kids and pets rotten. Inspired by fashion, art, and pop culture, I love to capture images using natural light. Although I enjoy taking all kinds of pictures, my style veers towards lifestyle and editorial photography and my favorite subjects are people. Daily Inspiration




Hello, my name is Jamie and I'm addicted to magazines.

No, seriously.

I like reading books and I know I should watch the news more, but I love reading magazines. I subscribe to quite a few and when I get home at night, there's nothing I like quite so much as curling up and poring over those glossy pages. Since they are so short, I feel a real sense of accomplishment when I finish them and I can go back and look at some articles or pictures over and over.

Even better, magazines serve as a constant inspiration for my photography. This month's InStyle had a beautiful photo shoot with Sandra Bullock that I just loved. The muted light in the desert, the casual and relaxed look and feel... What could be better?
